Palestinian conference for social media. It will be held over a period of 3 days in the city of Ramallah on 4th to 6th December 2011 at the Ramallah Cultural Palace.

This is the first-ever Palestinian conference for social media. It will be held over a period of 3 days in the city of Ramallah on 4^th to 6^th December 2011 at the Ramallah Cultural Palace. The event will target and be open to Palestinian social media activists, journalists, media professionals, media outlet managers and representatives, academics, students, civil society representatives, ICT entrepreneurs, and business community members from across the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
Khaled Abu Aker, AMIN’s Executive Director, strongly believes in the significance of this conference and the exceptional outcomes that can be drawn out of such a high-scale event.

“The goal of the conference is to bring Palestinian social media activists from all across Palestine together in order to increase the efforts and unite the forces for promoting the culture of social media in Palestine and increase awareness on the crucial role social media can have in Palestine – as a tool for positive change within the Palestinian society. This conference is an attempt to promote self expression and encourage Palestinians, particularly marginalized groups with marginalized voices, to express themselves and speak their minds and to use social media tools to convey their messages to raise their voices.”

About Conference

Therefore, the goal of the conference is to gather Palestinians from various sectors together for the first time in one location to start a dialogue about the Palestinian social media landscape and the potentially important role it can play in building and strengthening Palestinian civil society, economic, and educational competitiveness. The conference will assist Palestinian social media practitioners, universities, journalists, and private sector representatives to organize and expand their networks, increase their knowledge, understanding, and use of new and innovative tools and technologies to benefit their efforts, get products to markets, and learn how to “tell their stories” more effectively. The conference will include presentations; panel discussions; work groups; strategy development, etc.
Overall, the conference intends to create a culture of social media within the Palestinian society. It will be a unique and first-ever opportunity for social media practitioners with past initiatives and campaigns to get to know each other, in order to unite their work and increase the effect.
A wide range of topics will be highlighted, with particular focus on 4 main areas. These include the use of social media for:

Advocacy
Education
Business
Journalism
Technology

Other aspects will also be discussed including citizen journalism, new social media tools and skills, utilizing social media to make a change, using technology to support activism, granting social media activists support and protection, ICT infrastructure, networking and expanding existing networks, balancing the personal life with the social media profile, amplifying messages and reaching out to a larger audience through social media networks, economic innovation, effective story-telling for the internet, etc.
Several local and international keynote speakers and panel participants will participate in the conference in order to lead conference panels. Video Conference will be utilized to link between conference participants from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip throughout the conference. Currently, this is the only mean of communication available due to the siege imposed on Gaza and the lack of access of movement between the two parts of the Palestinian Territories. Part of the panel sessions will be lead by participants from Gaza broadcasted to the West Bank via video conference.
Live streaming of the entire conference sessions will grant the Palestinian audience from various areas around the West Bank and the Gaza Strip regions, that are unable to be physically present at the conference, an opportunity to “attend”, benefit, and take part in the conference. This feature is particularly aimed at large groups of people, such as universities, who will be encouraged to follow the conference activities and actually interact and participate in the conference.
In addition to the series of panel sessions and discussions, there will be networking time slots, during which participants are granted opportunity to communicate and get to know each other to discuss networking methods and collaboration opportunities.

«كارلوس».أنني أحمل الجنسية الفلسطينية، بحكم ضريبة الدم التي دفعتها طوال حياتي

هكذا اجاب المناضل الاممى كارلوس
«اسمي إليتش راميراز سانشنير، الملقب بـ «كارلوس». أحمل الجنسية الفنزويلية، لكنني أرى أيضاً أنني أحمل الجنسية الفلسطينية، بحكم ضريبة الدم التي دفعتها طوال حياتي في النضال ضد دولة إسرائيل العنصرية، وجميع الصهاينة المستغلِّين...». وضجّت القاعة بالتصفيق وصيحات التأييد من قبل الجمهور المتابع للجلسة، الذي كان في غالبيته من أنصار القضية الفلسطينية والمتعاطفين مع كارلوس. وكان لافتاً حضور النجم الكوميدي الفرنسي ديودونيه، الذي قال إنه قرّر «مقاومة هذه المحاكمة غير المنصفة»، عبر تأسيس جمعية سماها «لجنة دعم الكومندان كارلوس»

ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY has revealed these verses. The injunctions of ‘hijab’ have been clearly spelled out in the Qur’an. The prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam), explained its details in the ahadiths, and his wives and other believing women of his time showed the whole world how to apply these injunctions in their daily lives.

Nowadays the Kuffars and their surrogates in the Muslim lands have launched a campaign against the practice of Hijab in Islam. They allege that Islam oppresses women and locks them in their homes. It drapes a veil over their faces, and turns them into cartoons. Are we going to discard the commands of ALLAH THE ALMIGHTY and His messenger just because of their jests and jeers and their attempts to lampoon Islam and the Muslims?
Bear this in mind! We would take little notice of their jokes and banter, if we had the conviction of faith in our heart and the supreme confidence that the way of life we have learnt from the prophet SAW, is the absolute truth and the only right way.

All the prophets were accused of depriving people of the pleasures of this life. Every single prophet who ever came to this world was labeled ‘backward’, ‘old fashioned’, and a ‘reactionary’. Each one of them was a victim of insults and mockery of all kinds, and the target of all the taunts and sly remarks. You are now the inheritors of all the prophets. Everything they had is now yours __ not only the guidance, the blessings of Allah and the status of high honor, but also the taunts, the insults and the mockery. This world will treat you exactly as it treated all the prophets, because it accepts you as their heirs. Step forward and claim your heritage. It is yours for the asking! Accept the taunts with joy because they come with the territory. They are part of the bequest! These jabs and sneers are the badge a believer should wear as an honor bestowed. If you have faith in Allah and the messenger of Allah, you would brace yourself for some more insults and tell the West to go ahead and take their best shots. Then, toss aside the taunts and smile in the face of insults, for you are the inheritors.

On the other hand, being tired of the taunts and embarrassed of the insults, you may decline your heritage and opt to accept the advice of the West. You would still be the third rate citizens of this world. The western intellectuals told you not to keep your women at home and not to let them don ‘hijab’. So, you drove your women out and took away their ‘hijab’ and even their modest attire, their modesty and their shame. You followed their advice to the letter, but did they accept you as one of them? Did they give you the same rights, or grant you the same honor? Are you still not considered ‘backward’, ‘old fashioned, and ‘reactionaries’? Your name is still mentioned along side a slur and an epithet in the western countries. Putting the apes to shame, you copied them from head to toe, but you are still the third class citizens of this world.

You would fare much better, if you ignore their insults, let the slurs slide by, and toss the taunts aside. They will frown their foreheads, talk down at you, and speak ill about you. Of course they would do that, wouldn’t they? You believe in Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala so you must proceed along the path of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam). You must emulate the pious women of the house of the prophet, Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam. Let the unbeliever poke fun. Let them laugh at you, for the day would soon arrive when you will laugh at them.

In fact the criminals, the unbelievers, used to laugh at those who believed. As they passed by the believers, they would wink at each other (jokingly). And when they returned to their family, they returned jesting (and grinning). Whenever they saw the believers, they said, “These are the people gone astray.” The unbelievers were not sent as guardians over the believers. So today, it is the believers’ turn to laugh at the unbelievers. (The believers would be sitting) on elevated thrones, looking on. Now, have the unbelievers not been paid in full for what they did? (Mutaffafeen 29 – 36)

Our existence on this earth is brief. Our days here are numbered. How long will these ‘kafirs’ be able to laugh at us? Soon the curtain will fall, death will overtake, and the reality will be revealed. The fate of those who poked fun and those who stood firm would become apparent. In the hereafter, the believers will make fun of the unbelievers for eternity. Therefore, do not allow them to intimidate you. Do not let the unbelievers cower you into abandoning your ways. Stand firm. Let them taunt, and do whatever else they want. We shall not stray from our chosen path. These minor annoyances caused by the unbelievers are the obstacles that litter the only path to salvation.

Remember! The world respects only those who refuse to alter their opinions, or bend their beliefs, merely for the benefit of others. It holds in awe those who stand firm in adversity, and with courage confront all criticism and ridicule. In fact, honor is not in discarding Islam, but rather in adopting and applying it. Hazrat Umar, RA, said, “Through Islam and because of it, Allah bestowed all honor upon us. Allah will disgrace and dishonor us, if we ever decide to discard Islam.”

نصفي حرّ والآخر أسير !!

ويمضي المحرر حازم العايدي (44 سنة) وقته في اكتشاف الحياة من حوله بعد عشرين سنة في الأسر، ومنذ أن نال حريته في صفقة "وفاء الأحرار" وهو يتلقى دفعات كبيرة من المتغيرات الاجتماعية فيحاول ترجمتها بنصف حضور، فنصفه الآخر ما زال في الأسر، كما يقول.

وانطلقت صافرة القطار يوم الثامن عشر من أكتوبر الماضي معلنة الوصول للمحطة الأخيرة من الرحلة.. تلك الرحلة التي كان عنوانها 4 مؤبدات و75 سنة وفق تقويم الاحتلال.

يمنحه المنزل الهادئ الذي انتقل للسكن فيه قبل أسابيع فرصة للتأمّل.. يتلمّس الأشياء من حوله فيراها كلها طازجة على عينيه ومحببة إلى نفسه.. أعجبه البحر والهواء الطّلق وشدّة إيقاع الحياة بعيدا عن القضبان الباردة.

ويمضي المحرر حازم العايدي (44 سنة) وقته في اكتشاف الحياة من حوله بعد عشرين سنة في الأسر، ومنذ أن نال حريته في صفقة "وفاء الأحرار" وهو يتلقى دفعات كبيرة من المتغيرات الاجتماعية فيحاول ترجمتها بنصف حضور، فنصفه الآخر ما زال في الأسر، كما يقول.

نصف فرحة

وفي خيمة التهنئة المعدة لاستقباله في منزل شقيقه بدير البلح يبدو كل شيء معدا على نسق واهتمام، فلا ينقص المشهد سوى المهنئين الذين يتوافدون في المساء.وتتطابق الصور على الجدران مع ضيف وصل قريبا ألا وهو حازم.. الصور صامتة لكن حازم يتحدث عن سنوات أمضاها في سجون: عسقلان ونفحة ورامون.

يفرد أصابعه للإدلاء بالتصريح عينه الذي ألفتموه على لسان المحررين قائلا: "فرحتي ناقصة!.. تصور أنك عشت مع أصدقاء عشرين سنة في الحلو والمر وفي لحظات الفرح والحزن.. ثم تتركهم!".

ويرى أن السجن يجسد مجتمعا كاملا يتزاور فيه الأسرى في الأفراح والأحزان، وهذا ما يترجم مقولة المحررين كافة بأن فرحتهم الآن ناقصة.

وأضاف: "أتذكرهم الآن وهم بالداخل.. هل هم داخل الحجرات أم في الفورة؟.. كلما أقابل أي محرر أشعر أنني قابلت واحدا من أهلي؛ لذا فالألم بتركهم ليس لأنه فراق بل لأنك عشت معهم معاناة وأنت الآن حرّ وهم في العذاب".

وقال إن الناس يعرفون السجن بأنه لوحة صمود، "لكن خلف تلك اللوحة معاناة على مدار الساعة حيث يتحكم السجّان في تفاصيل الحياة كلها"، وتابع: "بكينا دموعا حارّة على الفراق لكننا واثقون بالفرج، ونعلم أنه لم تكن لتشمل الصفقة الأسرى كافة؛ فالمقاومة لديها جندي واحد".

مخزون 20 سنة

وفي الصباح الأول من الحرية في منزله فزع حازم من طرقة الباب الذي لعبت فيه الريح.. استغرق الأمر قرابة دقيقة حتى استوعب الأمر فقد استيقظ حاسبا نفسه في حجرة رقم 13 بسجن "ريمون" الذي ألف عثرة بابها هناك بما كان يستدعي أن يركله السجان برجله حتى يفتح.

وعن ذلك يقول: "للوهلة الأول حسبت نفسي في السجن لكني تفاجأت بالحجرة وسمعت صوت أخي وهو يتكلم مع شخص على الهاتف وحسبت أنه ذلك السجّان".

ويتقّد مخزون عشرين سنة من السجن إذا رأى حازم أي شيء, فمباشرة تندلع ترجمة فورية تقارن بين الشيء ومثيله في السجن فيعيش في اللحظة نفسها الماضي الأليم والحاضر المعبق بالحزن والسعادة. وأشار أن عشرين سنة تستخدم عادة للحديث عن فترة طويلة، وقد تبسم ضاحكا حين قال: "حتى ذلك المغني يقول: "قلي وش جابك علي وش ذكرك فينا.. عشرين عام انقضت ويش ذكرك بياه!".

وفي السنوات الأول من الأسر التي تزامنت مع انتفاضة الحجارة أحس أنه وزملاءه وسط المعركة، فلم يلتفتوا كثيرا لجراحهم، ولكن الفترة المحبطة لهم كانت ما بين 1994-2000 زمن السلطة الفلسطينية التي أشعرتهم أنهم خرجوا من التاريخ، كما قال.

وعن ذلك يضيف: "شعرنا أننا مضيعون.. خرجنا من القافلة ونحن في عالم النسيان، فعددنا كان بضع مئات وتخيلنا أننا شهداء وأن قيادتنا نسيتنا وبخاصة أن كثيرا من أسرى منظمة التحرير خرجوا ولم يبق سوى أسرى حماس وأسرى المنظمة أصحاب قضايا القتل".

ولعل أكثر تلك الليالي ألما هي إحدى ليالي سنة 1999, "إذ كانت ليلة صعبة على قسم 5 بسجن نفحة، فرغم الإفراج عن 100 أسير مؤبد إلا أن باب قسم 5 لم يفتح ليلتها على أحد".

فشعر الأسرى أن أملهم الوحيد بعد الله هو أن يختطف جندي صهيوني، وقد شعروا أنهم يدفعون ضريبة الانتماء لحركة حماس.

القطار على السّكة

المحطة الثالثة في حياته كانت مع اندلاع انتفاضة الأقصى سنة 2000، وعندها شعر أن القطار عاد لسكته وأن الروح عادت للجسد, ولم يكن أكثر ألما فيها من اغتيال القادة المؤسسين الذين عاش معهم في السجن.. عن ذلك يقول: "كلما اغتالوا أحدهم كنا نشعر بالحرقة والألم والعجز، وكانت الدموع في عيون الشباب، وكان الدعاء الملحّ: اللهم احفظ حركتنا ومشايخنا ومجاهدينا..".

مرت الانتخابات التشريعية وسط متابعة كبيرة داخل السجن، وكان لحازم وزملائه مع دخول حماس للانتخابات طرد لفكرة أن "الإسلاميين يزرعون وغيرهم يحصدون!".وتوالت المفاجآت لكن أسعدها كان اختطاف شاليط، "حيث شعر كل أسير أنها بداية قرار الإفراج، وقد كان أملا مدعوما بالأسباب"، كما قال.

وطوال سنوات خمسة تواصل الأسرى مع قيادة حماس لمتابعة الصفقة، وكان المنحنى يرتفع أحيانا وينخفض أحيانا أخرى، وقد توقع بعضهم أن يكون تاريخ الثامن والعشرين من سبتمبر الماضي آخر موعد لجولات التفاوض.

غزة أجمل !!

"حين شاهدها للمرة الأولى كانت غزة أجمل مما تصور، فصمودها جميل لكنها تحلت بالأمن والطبيعة, ولعل وقفة على شاطئ البحر تنسيك الدنيا وما فيها".. كما قال المنشد واتفق معه حازم.

وعن لحظة الحرية أضاف: "كنت متشوّقا لرؤية والدتي وعمرها 82 سنة، وكنت متشوّقا لمخيم المغازي, فالأسير يعيش على الذاكرة لأنه يعيش قصة حرمان وقصة شوق".

وقد حاول طوال عشرين سنة أن يتصل بالعالم الخارجي عبر متابعة التلفاز والراديو والاتصالات، وكان كثيرا ما يتخيّل الدنيا في الخارج ويتحدث عن ذلك لمن حوله.

ويرى أن الأسرى طوال السنين الماضية عاشوا هموم الأمة الإسلامية في أزمات الشيشان والبوسنة والسودان والصومال.

ليلة الإفراج

مرت ساعاتها ثقيلة وقد قابل كل أسير ضابط مخابرات المسؤول عن منطقته أو مخيمه.وهناك دار حوار أظهر فيه الضباط عبر الحاسوب أنهم يعرفون كل شيء حتى تفاصيل المنازل والحجرات، وطلبوا من الأسرى الابتعاد عن العمل الوطني وإلا استقبال هدية "صاروخ" ينهي الحياة.

وعلق حازم: "الصراع مع الاحتلال ليس صراعا عسكريا بقدر ما هو صراع أمني استخباري يعتمد على المعلومة".

ويعيد المحرر العايدي في هذه الأيام ترتيب الأشياء في رأسه استعدادا للمستقبل القادم الذي يحتاج منه للكثير.

وعن المستقبل يقول: "سأحاول البحث عن وظيفة مناسبة وسأكمل نصف ديني بالزواج، ثم سأكمل مشوار التعليم وأريد أن أكون لبنة في صرح الإسلام العظيم وأساهم في الصحوة الإسلامية وأكون جنديا في الدعوة الإسلامية المباركة".

وتتفتح الدنيا يوما بعد يوما وتتضح معالمها في عيون المحرر حازم العايدي، ولكن لا تكاد تمر ساعة دون أن تهزّه خفقة من قلبه حين يتذكر الأسرى خلف القضبان فيتنبه إلى أن نصفه الآخر حرّ ونصفه الثاني ما زال في الأسر.

Palestinian killed, three wounded, as army air strikes Khan Younis 7Nov11 November 7, 2011

Palestinian medical sources reported that

the Israeli Air Force fired, on Saturday evening, missiles into Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip, killing one Palestinian and injuring at least three others.

Local sources reported that the army fired at least two missiles at a group of fighters on the Al Quds Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, in Al Qarara town, east of Khan Younis. The army then fired rounds of live ammunition into the area.

The slain resident was identified as Abdullah Eid Mhanna, 22, member of the Al Quds briagdes; three residents suffered moderate injuries.

The Al Quds brigades stated that, contrary to Israeli army claims, its fighters did not fire shells into Israel, and did not intend to.

On Saturday morning, one resident was moderately wounded when Israeli soldiers opened fire at farmers in an area near the Nahal Oz crossing, east of Gaza.

The resident was identified as Mohammad Hamad, 23; he was shot in his right thigh; several residents suffered panic attacks.

Eyewitnesses reported that the army was not provoked in any way, and that the farmers were taken by surprise when the soldiers opened fire at them while working in their lands. Fearing for their lives, the farmers left their farmlands and went back home.

Israeli sources claimed that, on Friday at night, a shell was fired from Gaza into Asqalan (Ashkelon) causing no damages or injuries.

بالصور عجائب الدنيا السبع حتي الان ....لمن يريد معرفتها الدخول

اليكم عجائب وغرائب الدنيا السبع التي تحدث الكثير عنها

بحسب الأصوات حتى الآن

أهرمات الجيزة (مصر) من اقدم عجائب الدنيا السبع ، وهي مقابر الفراعنة ، بنيت حوالى 2690 ق.م ثلاثة أهرام شاد الأول منها الفرعون خوفو وعلوه 147مترا والثاني الفرعون خفرع وعلوه 136مترا والثالث الفرعون منقرع وعلوه 62 مترا وهي من عجائب الدنيا السبع المتبقيه وقد امتلأت ممراتها ومقابرها في يوم من الأيام بممتلكات الملوك التي لا تقدر بثمن ، والتي دفنوها معهم حتى يستعملوها في الحياة الأخرى ـ على حد زعمهم ـ وقد نهبت كنوز الأهرمات منذ آلاف السنين ولا زالت الاكتشافات متواليه إلى الان .

كان هليوس رودس من أشهر التماثيل الضخمة القديمة ، أقيم في اليونان عام 280 ق.م على جزيرة رودس ويعلو 32 مترا وقد حطمه زلزال في عام 227 ق. م فاصبح أنقاضا وكان هذا التمثال مصنوعاً من البرونز المقوى بالحديد .

أقام بطليموس الثاني فنار الإسكندرية في عام 280 ق.م ، حيث تعتبر أول منارة في العالم وبلغ ارتفاع الفنار حوالي 120 مترا ، وكان على جزيرة تبعد قليلا عن مدينة الإسكندرية ، وكان المصريون يشعلون النار كل ليلة على قمة الفنار ليحذروا السفن المارة ، هدمها زلزال عام 1375م.

عندما مات موسولوس ملك كاريا قررت أرتميس ملكة كاري أرملته أن تقيم له وللأخيها قبرا ضخما ( ضريح هاليكارناسوس) وقد اشترك أشهر المعمارين الإغريق في تشييد وتزيين الضريح بأجمل التماثيل ، وفي قمة الضريح وضع تمثال للملك موسولوس وزوجته وهما جالسان في عربة تجرها خيول أربعة ، علوه 42 مترا ويحتفظ المتحف البريطاني و مدينة بوردوم في تركيا ببعض أجزاء منه .

تمثال زيوس في أولمبيا ، نحت في اليونان عام 450 ق.م كان الاعتقاد السائد أن الخير والإلهية ينبعثان من هذا التمثال الضخم لزيوس ـ معاذ الله ـ ( أو المشتري كما عرفه الرومان ) وهو رب الآلة عند الإغريق ، وكان هذا التمثال في معبد أوليمبيا في اليونان ، وهو من صنع المثّال فيدياس والتمثال مصنوع من العاج والذهب ، ويبلغ ارتفاعه أكثر من 15 مترا ، وقد دمره حريق هائل ولا أثر له باق .

أقام ملك ليديا معبد ديانا بارفسوس في عام 500 ق.م ، بني هذا المعبد الشهير في آسيا الصغرى بتركيا وأحرقه ايروسترات عام 356 ق.م في الليلة التي ولد فيها الاسكندر الكبير واعيد بناؤه عام 350 ق.م ولكن دمر عند هجوم القوطيين عام 262 ق.م ولايزال بقاياه محفوظ في المتحف البريطاني كما استعملوا قسما من بقاياه في بناء كنيسة القديس يوحنا في أفسس والقديسة صوفيا في اسطنبول ، ونحن نعرف شكل تمثال ديانا الذي كان داخل المعبد ، عن طريق النسخ الموجودة له .

كانت حدائق بابل المعلقة مجموعة من المدرجات الصخرية الوحدة تلو الأخرى ، تعود إلى عام 600 ق.م ويقال أن نبوخذ نصر هو الذي بناها وتعلو هذه الحدائق عن الأرض مابين 23 و92مترا أما اليوم فلم يعد لها أثر فقد اندثرت ، وقد زرعت الأشجار والنباتات والزهور في طبقة كثيفة من التربة على كل مدرج من المدرجات الصخرية .

تاج محل ، من عجائب الدنيا الحديثة والتي تستحق البحث والدراسة ، بناه رجل مسلم لزوجته المسلمة ، وهو في تصميمه يأخذ العمارة الإسلامية التي تأثر بها كل من على هذه الكرة الأرضية ، والآن هو من أشهر المعالم السياحية في الهند ، ولا يمكن لأحد الزوار أن يزور الهند دون العبور على هذا الصرخ .

برج بابل ، كان شامخا أثناء الحضارة البابلية ، وهي امتداد لأول حضارة عرفتها البشرية حسب أقاويل العديد من العلماء ، إنها الحضارة السومرية ، حيث كان الناس يعرفون لغة واحدة وكلماتهم كانت قليلة وغير متشعبة ، أي أن ما يدور في خلدهم لا يقولونه كاملا ، لأنهم لا يعرفون كيف يعبرون عنه ، إن هؤلاء الناس العظماء بنوا برجا وكأنهم يعلمون أن الزمن سوف يأتي يوما ما لتتباهي المدن بأبراجها ، فيا عجبا ! أ في ذلك الوقت كانت الأبراج موجودة ؟! وماذا لو كان البرج صامدا شامخا إلى يومنا هذا ؟! ماذا سنقول ؟!

معبد أبو سمبل ، المعبد العظيم لأبو سمبل الذي يعود إلى رمسيس الثاني ، زينت واجهته بأربعة تماثيل ضخمة للفرعون العظيم نفسه ، كذلك فإن الأسطورة تحكي أن هذا المعبد لحوارس الراهب ، حيث كان يؤدي تعويذاته وصلاته فيه ، يبلغ علو التمثال الواحد حوالي 20 مترا ، أما الواجهة فإنها بعرض 35 مترا ، وعلوها 30 مترا ، وفي الصورة يمكن رؤية الملك وهو يصاحب بعض من أزواجه وأبنائه ، كذلك فإن من غرائب وعجائب معبد أو سمبل أن شعاع الشمس يدخل فيه مرتين في العام الواحد وتحديدا في 20 فبراير و 20 أكتوبر .

سور الصين العظيم ، أحد روائع الزمن والدنيا والبشرية ، إنه سور الصين العظيم والذي يقال أن يأجوج ومأجوج مدفونان تحته وأنهما سيخرجان منهما ، ولكن كثرت الأقاويل عن هذا الصرح الشامخ ، يستحق المشاهدة .

خواتم الصخور ، إنه المكان الأكثر غرابة في العالم ، لا يمكن لأي شخص أن يراه بدون أن يبدي إعجابه بما رأته عينه ، إنها مجموعة من الخواتم الصخرية العملاقة والتي تعود إلى الألف الثانية قبل الميلاد ، وتوجد هذه الخواتم على سهل ساليسبري الفارغ ، وهي تأخذ شكل المركز وعلى قممها حذاء الفرس .

برج بيزا المائل الواقع في إيطاليا أحد عجائب الدنيا ، ولكن ليست السبع بل العجائب الحديثة التي وصل عددها إلى 50 معلم على وجه الكرة الأرضية ، قام بتصميمه المهندس الإيطالي بونانو بيزاتو ، ويبلغ ارتفاعه 550 متر وقد وضع حجر الأساس له عام 1173م وظل يعمل فيه المهندس الإيطالي حتى سنة 1185 ، وعندما وصل البناء إلى الطابق الثالث لاحظ أن البرج يميل قليلا ، فهرب خوفا من وقوعه وظل البرج على هذه الحالة طيلة 90 عاماً ، حتى جاء مهندس آخر وعكف على إكماله ، وجعل الطوابق الخامس والسادس والسابع مستقيمة لتعويض الميل ، ثم جاء مهندس ثالث وأكمل بناء الطابق الثامن ، وبذلك استغرق بناء البرج حوالي قرنين من الزمان ، ومع ذلك استمر في الميل ، لذا يعتبر أحد عجائب الدنيا الحديثة .
